Apply for help

Provision of grants for technology or limited extra tuition that assists disabled children with their academic education is something that we help with. Therefore, all applications must have educational merit. Unfortunately, we cannot help with applications that are looking for help with therapies or technology that will be used as a tool to help manage or modify behaviour.
If your request would fit our criteria, the application process is in writing to The Grants Officer, Able Kidz, 124 City Road, London, EC1V 2NX, or by email to info@ablekidz.org. Please note, there is no application form:

Please provide:

-
Details of application that outlines the child’s educational circumstances and how Able Kidz might help.
-
A letter in support of the application from a teacher or educational professional. Whilst proof of medical diagnosis might be informative, it is insufficient without the letter of support. It should highlight the nature of the educational problem and how the item asked for might address it.
These details may be sent by email or post. However, any letters of support must be in the form of PDF letterhead or sent separately from their professional email address.

Able Kidz is a small charity run by volunteers, we do our best to help as many children (aged under 18) as possible. However, there has been an exceptional increase in requests for our help and much as we would like to, we can’t always help every child whose circumstances would qualify them – but we always try our best.
Please note that, due to an extraordinary rise in demand, we are no longer able to offer support for speech therapy or speech aids.
